Founding Story
Formerly known as the Food, Nutrition, & Health Investor Coalition (FNHIC), ICON was convened by Food Systems for the Future (FSF) and S2G Ventures in Fall 2022 given shared interest in the connection between food technology and human health.
ICON was launched publicly with FSF, S2G, and 20 other founding partners at the 2022 White House Conference on Hunger, Nutrition, and Health - a significant event in the advancement of efforts around this cause.

Notably, ICON is not a fund itself, but a platform that connects investors and facilitates conversations, investments, and education around food and health innovation.

Our mission is to expand the nutrition ecosystem for individual and population health benefit. One of the measures we use to understand impact toward this mission is collective member investment - with a target of deploying $2.5 billion toward innovation addressing food, nutrition, and health.
